Please help CAHSAH dispute damaging analysis by the Medicare Payment Advisory Commission (MedPAC) that Medicare home health agencies are earning profit margins under PPS averaging 23.3 percent.

CAHSAH's Medicare Certified Steering Committee and Board of Directors have directed CAHSAH staff to build a database of recent California agency cost reports and conduct analyses to determine the actual relationship between PPS revenues and costs.

We urge all California members to submit their most recently filed Medicare cost reports. Freestanding home health agencies may submit the entire cost report or the five worksheets listed below. Hospital-based home health agencies should submit the worksheets listed below.

ALL INFORMATION SUBMITTED WILL BE MAINTAINED CONFIDENTIALLY.

Cost report data will be entered by CAHSAH staff into a password-protected spreadsheet with a special code for each provider. After data entry, the cost reports will be shredded. Only specifically authorized CAHSAH staff will have access to the spreadsheet data. Analyses will not identify individual providers.
