Blueprint for OASIS Accuracy – "Transition from OASIS B1 to OASIS-C" 2-Day Workshop
TRANSITION TO OASIS-C

Spend two intense and fun days learning all there is to know to collect the OASIS-C accurately!

Understand the specifics of the new items, changed items and process measures. Learn what you need to know about changes to data collection rules and conventions.

The Blueprint for OASIS Accuracy workshop offers effective, timely, comprehensive and supportive education necessary for the OASIS-C transition, directed at the field data collectors and their supervisors. Rather than provide opinions, assumptions, or unfounded interpretations, the "Blueprint" presenters will provide up-to-the-minute education on what information is available and what questions remain unanswered. Join us in our commitment to enhancing OASIS accuracy by attending an upcoming workshop.

On March 9, 2009, the Federal Register contained notification of proposed OASIS-C changes for OMB review and public comment. Compared with the currently mandated OASIS-B1 data set, OASIS-C revisions include deletion of items that are not currently used for payment or quality, addition of items to address clinical domains that are not currently covered, and modification of item wording and/or response options for some items. Most notably, OASIS-C contains process items that support measurement of evidence-based practices.

As stated in the Federal Register notice, changes reflected in OASIS-C are considered to be "high priority by CMS and have implications for outcome measurement, risk adjustment of outcome reports, case mix adjustment for prospective payment, data submission procedures and specifications, reporting systems, and provider paperwork burden."

Posting of the final data set is expected this fall, with an anticipated implementation date of January, 2010. Be one of the first to prepare for comprehensive OASIS-C data collection training with CAHSAH and OASIS Answers, Inc.'s expanded Blueprint for OASIS Accuracy workshop.

This highly structured and tested workshop replaces didactic classroom education with exciting and entertaining coaching geared toward the adult learner.

Instruction and activities, led by two experienced workshop presenters, allow hands-on application of strategies presented. Learn practical skills and strategies to allow you to locate the information you need to answer your day-to-day OASIS data collection questions – now, and in the future!

If you’ve attended before… come back and join the 12,000+ providers nationwide who RELY on the Blueprint for OASIS Accuracy Program to get and keep them up-to-date!
