The Home Care Manager Certificate Program (HCMCP) is an interactive and intensive educational program, providing leading edge management concepts and skills that are critical for home care managers to know and understand. This program was designed to accommodate all sections of home care, from private pay to large home care agencies. There are two modules to choose from; Private Duty or Medicare Certified. This program was designed to improve your leadership skills, learn the fundamentals of budgeting, marketing, financial management, the PPS system, compliance, regulatory and human resources of entry level home care managers.

MEDICARE CERTIFIED BREAK OUT SESSIONS: 
 • Understand regulatory guidelines and business practices  
 • Learn the financial management under PPS process 

PRIVATE DUTY/HOME CARE AIDE BREAK OUT SESSIONS: 
 • Understand regulations for Home Care Aide and Licensed agencies  
 • Learn the financial management & marketing process for Home Care Aide and Licensed agencies

• Develop leadership and organizational management skills
• Learn the secrets to marketing your agency
• Understand the regulatory process (all home care agencies)
• Learn the fundamentals of financial management and budgeting
• Understand human resource practices and employment law

The Home Care Manager Certificate Program is designed for front-line supervisors, middle managers, business owners, or any mid-management personnel of Medicare-certified home health, Licensed or Home Care Aide Organizations. More experienced managers will gain insights and a refreshed understanding of home care.

Please note that separate registration is required for the certification examination.  In order for candidates to sit in for the exam, candidates must have been deemed eligible through a formal application process.  After the application has been accepted, candidates may then register and pay for the certification examination.  Detailed examination registration instructions will be included in the acceptance correspondence.  During registration, candidates will select the exam date and location.  If you are interested in learning more about the process or submit an application to sit in on one of the certification examinations, please contact Soua Vang at svang@cahsah.org.

Certificates of Attendance and Continuing Education Units (CEU’s) will be provided to participants who attend the program in its entirety.  If you are more then 15 minutes late or leave more then 15 minutes early, you will not receive a Certificate of Attendance or earn any Continuing Education Units.  Partial credits cannot be given.  NO exceptions will be made to this policy.  Provider number is approved by the California Board of Registered Nursing (Provider #CEP 2463) and approved by the California Board of Behavioral Sciences (Provider #PCE 588) for up to 21 contact hours for the Home Care Executive Certificate Program (HCECP).  Please verify with your state’s licensing body that credit offered by this provider is accepted in your state.
