SESSION OVERVIEW
Description
Timely reporting to state regulators is critical to maintaining hospice licensure. This session reviews required notifications, reporting timelines, documentation expectations, and common compliance pitfalls. Topics include changes of ownership, unmet patient needs, board changes, license renewals, required postings, and voluntary license cancellations.
Learning Objectives
Participants will be able to:
- Identify events requiring notification to the California Department of Public Health.
- Explain reporting requirements and timelines for common organizational changes.
- Describe documentation needed to support state reporting.
- Develop processes to ensure timely regulatory notifications.
