Policy & Advocacy

CAHSAH represents its diverse membership in the full gamut of legislative, regulatory and administrative settings by acting as your voice to seek statutory and regulatory changes that promote quality home care and enhance the effectiveness of our members.

CAHSAH is committed to protecting and increasing reimbursement rates and regularly meets with the Department of Health Care Services, Department of Public Health, Department of Social Services, CMS, fiscal intermediaries, and other regulatory bodies to ensure regulatory issues within the industry are being monitored and addressed.

Our philosophy is simple:

1) Provide resources and guidance to our grassroots membership with the goal of helping them connect with policymakers and emphasize the importance of home care.

2) Simultaneously utilize our lobbying efforts, Political Action Committee (PAC), and industry relationships to promote and advocate for home care.

This approach combines bottom up and top down strategies to maximize our effectiveness with all policy, advocacy and public affairs that ensure that the home care industry is at the forefront of innovation and community supports through California based health care services.
