Start Up Agency Provider
California direct providers of health and supportive services and products in the home. There are seven different provider sections with CAHSAH. These provider sections were designed to ensure that CAHSAH is meeting the needs of all home care providers within California. Each of the seven sections is unique, with its own needs and priorities, yet all seven share a similar goal - serving the home care patient.
Start-up Providers:
A new start up organization is a provider that has been recently licensed in less than 12 months, or has made application for licensure and awaiting approval within 12 months. New start up organizations may join at a start-up rate for the first year of membership. A start up organization can be any of the provider types below:
- Medicare-Certified Home Health Agency
As required by the Medicare Conditions of Participation, these agencies must provide skilled nursing as well as one or more additional therapeutic services, including home health aides, physical, occupational or speech therapy, and medical social services. Additional specialty services, such as enterostomal therapy, IV nursing therapy or perinatal care, are also included in each agency's listing. Medicare-certified home health agencies typically provide skilled services on an intermittent basis to Medicare beneficiaries or other individuals with acute conditions. Medicare-certified home health agencies are licensed by the State of California and are certified to participate in Medicare. - Licensed Home Health Agencies
These agencies provide skilled nursing and, frequently, other services in the home, including continuous care and home care aide services. These agencies specialize in working with private insurance companies, although many are also certified to accept Medicare or Medi-Cal. Services provided by these agencies are similar to those provided by Medicare-certified home health agencies. Home health agencies are certified by the state of California. - Hospices
Hospices provide a specialized interdisciplinary program designed to provide palliative care to the terminally ill, and supportive care for the primary caregiver and family members. Medicare-certified hospices must meet the Hospice Medicare Conditions of Participation. New California hospices must also be licensed by the State of California. - Home Infusion Pharmacies
These companies provide pharmaceuticals and related high-tech services, such as enteral or parenteral nutrition, pain management, antibiotics, or chemotherapy. They are licensed by the Board of Pharmacy. Home infusion pharmacies that provide or arrange for skilled nursing services are required to be licensed as home health agencies. - Home Medical Equipment Companies
These companies provide medical equipment, products and supplies in the home. They may also provide home respiratory therapy or specialized services such as home phototherapy, wheelchair rehabilitation, or home apnea monitoring. They are licensed by the Department of Health Services. - Licensed Home Care Organizations
These companies provide a wide variety of supportive services, such as assistance with home management and non-medical personal care. Home care aide organizations may offer such services as homemaking, meal preparation, live-in attendants, supervision and assistance with feeding, dressing, bathing and toileting, respite/companion and child care, and escort or transportation services. - Interdisciplinary Professional Services
These companies provide home care services and products, such as physical therapy/rehabilitation, podiatry, or mobile x-ray or mobile laboratory services, in the home.
The new start up organization dues will be $550 for first year only. Renewing members would then fall under dues structure for section provider type they operate.
Licensed Home Care Aide

Each of the seven sections is unique, with its own needs and priorities, yet all seven share a similar goal - serving the home care patient.
Licensed Home Care Organizations
These companies provide a wide variety of supportive services, such as assistance with home management and non-medical personal care. Home care aide organizations may offer such services as homemaking, meal preparation, live-in attendants, supervision and assistance with feeding, dressing, bathing and toileting, respite/companion and child care, and escort or transportation services.
Licensed Home Care Organizations annual dues = $750 plus $250 per additional locations.
Licensed Home Health

Licensed Home Health Agencies
These agencies provide skilled nursing and, frequently, other services in the home, including continuous care and home care aide services. These agencies specialize in working with private insurance companies, although many are also certified to accept Medicare or Medi-Cal. Services provided by these agencies are similar to those provided by Medicare-certified home health agencies. Home health agencies are certified by the state of California.
Licensed Home Health agency annual dues = $1,500 plus $500 for each additional location.
Medicare Certified Home Health

Multi-Section Providers:
A multi-section provider is an organization that provides and/or more than one of the provider sections below. They may be part of a parent corporation or separate, but still managed by the same operator. If your organization operates in more than one provider type (section), you must list a primary section and indicate all provider sections that you operate. Dues will be calculated based on annual Net Patient Service Revenue (NPSR) from the most recent completed financials. Affiliate Individual
Affiliate Individuals:
An affiliate individual membership is limited to one individual and may not be shared by others.
- Suppliers - Sole-operator businesses which specialize in providing services and supplies to the home care industry.
- Associates - Individual representatives of home care providers outside the State of California.
Affiliate individual annual membership dues = $750
Affiliate Company
Affiliate (Company) Members
Affiliate Company members include all employees and contractors that are part of the member company.
- Suppliers - Businesses with multiple employees that specialize in providing services and supplies to the home care industry.
- Associates - Home care provider organizations outside the State of California.
Affiliate Company Member annual dues = $1,500
