Hospice Management Qualifications
SESSION OVERVIEW
Effective leadership begins with understanding the regulatory requirements governing hospice management. This session examines the qualifications, responsibilities, and oversight expectations for hospice administrators, directors of patient care services, medical directors, and their designees. Participants will also explore regulatory flexibility available to hospice programs while ensuring continued compliance with California's emergency regulations.
Learning Objectives
Participants will be able to:
- Describe the required qualifications and responsibilities of key hospice leadership positions.
- Differentiate the regulatory roles of administrators, directors of patient care services, medical directors, and designees.
- Identify allowable program flexibilities under the emergency regulations.
- Evaluate organizational leadership structures for regulatory compliance.
