SESSION OVERVIEW

The current state in the post-acute care industry involves enhanced oversight. Both federal and state agencies continue to increase oversight and scrutiny of post-acute providers, with a focus in hospice and home health. This is not a time for an agency to sit and wait for oversight to hit, but rather to prepare for when it comes knocking.

This lunch and learn will help providers take a look at how enhanced oversight preparation should be part of an providers strategic plan. We will discuss who should be involved, including compliance. Assess if you are prepared and if not, what your next steps are. Included in the presentation are recommendations, including tools to identify areas of risks and policies to improve oversight preparation.

Upon completion of today's presentation, the participant will be able to:

  • Understand the current state of the Industry related to Enhanced Oversight.
  • Understand what elements of enhanced oversight should be addressed in strategic planning.
  • Identify critical steps, processes and tools to prepare an organization for enhanced oversight.
  • Identify targeted risk areas, understand triggers, patterns, trends and what a provider should monitor.
  • Compliance, oversight and your strategic plan.
