Professional Bio

Dana Charumbira is a CPA and the founder of The Home Care CPAs, an accounting and financial consulting firm built exclusively for home care agency owners. She came to the industry with intention: home care, to Dana, is a social impact industry, one where financially healthy agencies mean more people get to age with dignity in their own homes. That belief shapes everything her firm does.

She founded The Home Care CPAs after seeing a consistent gap in the market: agency owners growing their businesses but not seeing it in the bank, working hard without being able to answer whether they were actually profitable, and making major decisions without anyone to help them understand what their numbers meant or what to do next. The Home Care CPAs was built to close that gap, not just by keeping the books, but by taking the financial weight off owners' plates so they can stay focused on their clients, their caregivers, and the work they came to do.

Dana holds a Bachelor of Science in Finance, Accounting, and International Business from Indiana University's Kelley School of Business and an MBA from the University of Cape Town Graduate School of Business.

Her career spans public accounting, internal audit, and corporate finance across three continents, including roles in the U.S., South Africa, and beyond. That breadth of experience, combined with a long-standing commitment to social impact, informs the way she leads The Home Care CPAs: with rigor, purpose, and a genuine belief that financial clarity changes what is possible for the people and families her clients serve.
