A Message from CAHSAH’s President & CEO, Soua Vang

Last month, I shared that I would be launching a Listening Tour across California. That commitment hasn’t changed - in fact, it’s only deepened.

Over the past month, we’ve been doing important work behind the scenes: strengthening our internal capacity, building the infrastructure for growth, and aligning our staffing and resources so CAHSAH is positioned to deliver real member value. We also hired three new full-time team members in key roles to better support membership services and policy & advocacy.

We are entering a moment where collaboration matters more than ever.

Home care, home health, and hospice providers are navigating an increasingly complex and heavily regulated landscape - new and evolving regulations, heightened hospice billing scrutiny, assisted living waivers, reimbursement pressures, and operational roadblocks that directly impact financial sustainability. These challenges are real, and they’re not going away.

That’s why CAHSAH is leaning in. We are here to monitor, engage, push back where necessary, and translate policy into operational guidance.  But we can’t do this work without you - and we were never meant to.

This tour is about partnership. It’s about listening first, learning deeply, and leading with purpose. Most importantly, it’s a chance for you to tell us what’s keeping you up at night so we can prioritize the right advocacy, education, and support to help protect your operations and reduce financial impact.
