Message From The Chair | April 2026

Posted By: Julie Lehmann Bulletin,

It is hard to believe it is already Spring.  That means it is time for Lobby Day. Lobby Day is our way to have CAHSAH members and home care stakeholders make a difference at the State Capitol. It is a day that our elected officials can hear from you as a provider of health services in the home.

For the past few years, CAHSAH has held Lobby Day remotely. But I am so excited that this year CAHSAH will be holding Lobby Day in person at the State Capital.  With all of the changes going on within the state, it is so important that we all can let our legislators hear what is important to us as an industry. During Lobby Day, we go to the legislators’ offices and meet with their staff to let them know what is important to our industry.

The great thing about Lobby Day is all you need to do is show up.  CAHSAH staff take care of everything for you.  CAHSAH staff will schedule meetings with the elected officials and give you the information you will need.   We start the day with everyone meeting together for breakfast and to learn what we will be presenting to the elected officials.  We will provide everyone with a full, custom package of advocacy resources to ensure you have the talking points you will need for each of your appointments. We pair new attendees with seasoned attendees to make it easier for everyone.  After lunch, we will head to the legislators’ offices to present all that has been learned during our morning session together.

At the end of the day, CAHSAH will have an opportunity for attendees to get together to reflect , debrief and share your experiences from the day.  The event is free for CAHSAH members and $80 for non-members.  And breakfast and lunch are provided.  Registration for Lobby Day is on the CAHSAH website: https://www.cahsah.org/events/2026-cahsah-annual-lobby-day/register

This is a great event and a way to get our voices heard.  I would love to see you all there!!!
