SESSION OVERVIEW
Preparation is your best defense! As hospices are surveyed every three years and complaint surveys continue to rise, it is imperative to understand the current focus from the different survey agencies. Are you familiar with the different types of surveys and citations you could receive, as well as the common risk areas? Join us to learn what CMS, CDPH, TJC, CHAP & ACHC are finding in their hospice surveys and how to avoid these issues. Learn the five-point method of writing a successful plan of correction. Join this workshop to learn and bring these skills back to your programs so that you are prepared for any survey activity that may arise!
Session Topics:
  • Identify the top ten deficiencies cited for Hospice providers during surveys
  • Discuss the changes in the federal and state survey and enforcement process for Hospice providers

CANCELLATIONS

Cancellations are subject to 20% handling fee. There will be NO REFUNDS issued for cancellations received within 10 business days prior to program. Cancellations must be in writing. Refunds will not be made for no-shows. However, substitutions will be allowed. Should CAHSAH® cancel the program, a full registration fee refund will be issued.

CONTINUING EDUCATION UNITS (CEUs)

Provider approved by the California Board of Registered Nursing (Provider #CEP17394) for five and one half (5.5) contact hours of continuing education. Continuing Education report will be issued to attendees once attendance has been confirmed.
