Capitol Corner | February 2026
With heightened scrutiny around fraud and abuse, it is more important than ever to protect compliant providers and keep the focus where it belongs: caring for patients at home, where they feel safest and most comfortable.
CAHSAH supports enforcement when it is targeted, evidence-based, and focused on true bad actors - not providers doing the right thing for vulnerable populations. Our priority is ensuring compliant members are not caught in the crossfire as regulators work to address fraud and abuse. While hospice may be in the spotlight today, CAHSAH remains committed to advocating for the entire home care community.
In January, CAHSAH’s Board and staff partnered to develop strategic initiatives designed to safeguard members and cut through the noise. In 2026, you will see:
- Clear, section-specific advocacy priorities
- Expanded online education through a new Learning Management System
- Robust certificate and clinical training programs
- New podcasts and video content to keep you informed and connected
- Smarter use of technology, including AI-driven tools and a centralized knowledge base
All of this is focused on one goal: helping you stay compliant, informed, and focused on care - not distractions.
Thank you for the work you do every day and for your partnership with CAHSAH.
